Tranquility Residential House-Interior

Tranquility Residential House-Interior

Tranquility Residential House-Interior is an award-winning residential interior design project completed in Tainan, Taiwan, that masterfully integrates open-plan living concepts with traditional Asian design sensibilities. Created by designers Lin,zhi-long and Su,nan-kai, this sophisticated interior space exemplifies a harmonious blend of functionality and aesthetic refinement, earning recognition with a Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category. The design's primary innovation lies in its innovative spatial arrangement, where public spaces, including the living room, dining area, and kitchen, flow seamlessly into one another through carefully planned visual penetration, creating an enhanced sense of home atmosphere. The project, completed between October 2016 and April 2017, showcases a thoughtful material palette combining the natural vitality of stone and wood to create a dynamic interplay between calm and active elements. The interior's color scheme employs warm earth tones as its foundation, incorporating varying shades of brown, harmonious beige, gray, and white to achieve a layered, sophisticated aesthetic. A notable aspect of the design is its transformation of the kitchen and dining areas beyond their utilitarian functions into social spaces that foster family gatherings and strengthen domestic relationships. The implementation of open system architecture not only maximizes spatial efficiency but also creates an environment where natural elements such as sunlight, air, and vegetation become integral components of the daily living experience, emphasizing the delicate balance between architectural elements and natural surroundings.
