The interior design, conceived by Hung Teng Hsiao, demonstrates a sophisticated departure from conventional Japanese restaurant aesthetics through its thoughtful integration of light wood tones, three-dimensional wooden grid structures, and innovative material applications. The space is architecturally distinguished by its multi-level layout, featuring a first floor characterized by an expertly crafted wooden grid ceiling that extends vertically to connect with the bar area, creating a seamless visual flow throughout the space. The design employs PU simulation materials that replicate stone and wood textures, incorporating elements such as slate patterns, annual rings, and grayscale variations with industrial details like screws and rivets to achieve a modern interpretation of Japanese design principles. The second floor showcases private booth areas designed around the concept of gathering and social interaction, utilizing circular elements in both furniture and lighting fixtures to reinforce the theme of communal dining. The space's functionality is enhanced through careful consideration of customer comfort, incorporating practical elements such as strategically placed power outlets and the innovative use of hollow bricks and glass partitions that maintain spatial division while preserving openness.
