Tranquil By The Sea Private Apartment
Tranquil By The Sea Private Apartment is an exemplary residential interior design project located at the northernmost point of Jakarta, Indonesia, that masterfully harmonizes luxury living with oceanic vistas. This 250-square-meter private residence, completed in 2022, represents a sophisticated merger of two individual apartment units, thoughtfully reconstructed to create a seamless living space that maximizes views of the Java Sea. The design, conceived by architects Darren Pirono and Jefferson Frans Tan, employs a strategic directive approach to spatial organization, utilizing a contrasting palette of wood and dark features to frame and emphasize the panoramic ocean views. The interior architecture demonstrates exceptional space planning through its careful sequencing of areas, incorporating two master bedrooms (one featuring a private office, walk-in closet, vanity room, and luxury bathroom), a children's bedroom, and an open-plan living and dining area. The project's innovative use of materials addresses practical challenges of coastal living, implementing corrosion-resistant, lightweight, and modular elements throughout. Notable technical features include a magnetic lighting system offering customizable illumination and specialized stone-textured paint treatments that combine aesthetic appeal with practical maintenance considerations. The design earned recognition with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its excellence in spatial design, material selection, and functional innovation. The project's sophisticated approach to privacy and flow is achieved through a combination of solid, transparent, and camouflaged partitions, creating distinct sequences that guide residents through carefully curated spaces while maintaining visual connection to the sea.
