Tractor-towed Mowers

Tractor-towed Mowers

Tractor-towed mowers are agricultural machines that are used for mowing large areas of grass or crops. They are designed to be towed behind a tractor, which provides the power to drive the mower blades. Tractor-towed mowers come in a variety of sizes and designs, depending on the intended use and the type of terrain they will be used on. The most common type of tractor-towed mower is the rotary mower, which uses a horizontal spinning blade to cut the grass or crops. These mowers are typically used for cutting large areas of grass, such as parks, golf courses, and sports fields. They are also used for cutting crops, such as hay and alfalfa. Another type of tractor-towed mower is the flail mower, which uses a series of small blades on a rotating drum to cut the grass or crops. Flail mowers are typically used for cutting rough terrain, such as ditches and embankments, as well as for shredding crop residue. Tractor-towed mowers can also be equipped with additional features, such as a collection system for the cut grass or crops, or a mulching system that chops up the cuttings and spreads them back onto the ground as fertilizer. Overall, tractor-towed mowers are an essential tool for maintaining large areas of grass or crops. They are efficient, reliable, and versatile, and can be customized to suit a wide range of applications.
