Tr88 House Recreational Center
Tr88 House Recreational Center is an innovative recreational complex located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, that reimagines the concept of entertainment spaces through a unique architectural approach inspired by childhood dreams and natural elements. Designed by architect Shahrooz Zomorrodi and completed in March 2022, this approximately 100,000-square-foot facility seamlessly integrates multiple entertainment venues including a food court, children's play area, trampoline zone, laser tag arena, mini golf course, kids' club, and a rooftop bar. The design philosophy draws from an intriguing interpretation of childhood nightmares, where scale and proportion are deliberately exaggerated to create an immersive environment that challenges spatial perception. The complex features distinctive architectural elements such as towering artificial pine trees reaching heights of up to 18 meters, hexagonal beehive structures, and cocoon-inspired lighting fixtures, all meticulously handcrafted to create a surreal, forest-like atmosphere without using actual vegetation. The facility's innovative design, which earned a Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, incorporates sophisticated acoustic engineering with 7-meter walls providing 45dB noise reduction, fire-resistant materials compliant with Dubai regulations, and a complex structural system supporting the unique installations. The project's success lies in its ability to create distinct yet interconnected spaces that facilitate intergenerational interaction while maintaining a strong focus on experiential design, incorporating mysterious details and interactive elements throughout the venue, including hidden games and riddles in the food court area that transform ordinary dining spaces into engaging, multi-sensory environments.
