Topological Optimization

Topological Optimization is a method in structural design that helps find the best way to place material within a given space to make structures strong and light. Designers use this process to create shapes that use less material while still carrying loads safely. This method can make unique forms that are hard to imagine by hand, and it works well with 3D printing and other digital manufacturing tools. Topological Optimization can help reduce waste and lower costs by showing exactly where material is needed in a structure. In recent years, designers have started to use it to make custom supports inside objects, like hidden lattices, which improve strength without adding weight.
