Top Of The Lake Residential Interior
Top of the Lake Residential Interior is an award-winning residential design project that exemplifies the harmonious integration of contemporary architecture with natural surroundings. Located on a small hill overlooking a lake in Poland, this 238-square-meter single-family residence showcases a sophisticated composition of intersecting blocks, structures, textiles, and colors, masterfully crafted by designer Jan Sekuła of Zarysy studio. The interior design philosophy draws inspiration from nature, incorporating earth tones, deep greens, and rich reds, complemented by oak and stone elements that create a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor spaces. The project, completed in 2020, features distinctive design elements including a transparent hanging staircase constructed from solid oak, custom-designed furniture pieces, and innovative lighting solutions. The spatial organization demonstrates exceptional functionality through rotating textile panels between the kitchen and dining areas, while the children's room incorporates a unique three-zone design adaptable from early childhood to teenage years. The interior's aesthetic is characterized by mid-century modern influences, evident in the smooth, round lines that connect various design elements, while maintaining a sophisticated balance between forest cabin elements and luxury finishes. This project, recognized with a Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, represents a significant achievement in residential interior design, particularly noted for its innovative use of space, material selection excellence, and harmonious integration of natural elements.
