Tolumi Folding Dressing Table

Tolumi Folding Dressing Table

Tolumi Folding dressing table is an innovative and versatile piece of furniture that seamlessly transitions between a coffee table and a dedicated dressing table, designed by Polish architect Katarzyna Dzięcioł. This transformable furniture piece exemplifies the convergence of functionality and aesthetic refinement, featuring a sophisticated folding mechanism reminiscent of umbrella operations that allows users to easily convert between its dual purposes. The design, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category, incorporates cherry wood construction complemented by grey fabric upholstery, though these materials can be customized to suit various interior schemes. The table's primary innovation lies in its ability to adapt to users' needs while maintaining a minimal footprint, with dimensions of 450mm in both height and diameter. The design particularly emphasizes the importance of optimal lighting conditions for makeup application, allowing users to freely position the table to take advantage of natural daylight. Notable technical features include a stable locking mechanism when unfolded, ensuring security during use, integrated wheels for effortless mobility, and meticulously crafted details such as precise fabric-to-wood transitions. The design philosophy behind this piece focuses on creating furniture that doesn't compromise room aesthetics while providing specialized functionality, making it particularly suitable for contemporary living spaces where versatility and space efficiency are paramount.
