Tianxi No.1 Sales Center
Tianxi No.1 Sales Center is an exemplary architectural achievement in contemporary interior design, showcasing a harmonious blend of modern aesthetics and traditional Oriental philosophy. Located in Shenzhen's bustling downtown district, this 1,900-square-meter space represents a sophisticated interpretation of tranquility within an urban context, completed in May 2019. Designed by Ben Wu, a master of Modern Oriental design philosophy, the center employs innovative spatial techniques to create a serene sanctuary amidst the city's commercial intensity. The design's most striking feature is its 50-meter waterfront footpath, which serves as a transitional element, guiding visitors from the urban chaos to a state of contemplative calm. The space incorporates sophisticated architectural elements, including a distinctive triangular skylight structure that creates dynamic interplay between natural light and water surfaces. The interior's artistic narrative is enhanced through the creative deconstruction and reorganization of calligraphic works across 20 turntable installations, featuring tea-stained textures that echo traditional Chinese artistry. The design employs virtual metal mesh partitions to define spatial rhythms, creating an engaging sequence of revealed and concealed spaces that encourage exploration. This innovative approach to commercial space design earned recognition at the A' Design Award competition, receiving the Golden A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its exceptional contribution to contemporary spatial design.
