Think Out Of The Box Show Flat
Think out of the Box Show Flat is an innovative residential interior design project that exemplifies contemporary spatial planning and aesthetic innovation within a compact 48-square-meter living space. Created by designer Yu-Lin Shih and Ling-Chun Tseng, this revolutionary approach to residential design challenges traditional layout conventions by immediately welcoming visitors into the living room upon entry, eliminating the conventional porch transition space. The design's distinctive features include a sophisticated black marble storage wall that enhances functionality while maintaining visual elegance, and a thoughtfully integrated open kitchen that promotes natural social interaction. The project, completed in November 2020 in Taiwan, showcases an ingenious lighting scheme that combines triangular shade lamps with spherical fixtures, creating both visual interest and practical illumination. The space planning demonstrates exceptional efficiency through its seamless integration of public and private zones, utilizing mirror walls to create depth and spatial illusion. This design, which earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, represents a significant departure from conventional residential design paradigms, emphasizing that sophisticated living spaces can be achieved through clever planning rather than excessive decoration. The project's success lies in its ability to break free from traditional constraints while maintaining aesthetic harmony, proving that innovative design thinking can transform modest spaces into dynamic, multifunctional environments that enhance both daily living and social interaction.
