The Touch Of Elegancy Residence

The Touch Of Elegancy Residence

The Touch of Elegancy Residence is an exemplary residential interior design project located in Xitun District, Taichung City, that masterfully balances modern comfort with classical aesthetics across 396 square meters of living space. Designed by Fu-Han Tsai, this sophisticated dwelling represents a thoughtful response to contemporary urban living challenges, offering a serene retreat from the demands of professional life. The design's distinctive character emerges through its innovative integration of geometric elements inspired by Piet Cornelies Mondrian, particularly evident in the main wall treatments and door slats. The residence features a meticulously crafted entrance where metallic fretwork creates an elegant transition between the porch and living room, establishing a dynamic interplay between visual and physical space. Quality cypress sandblasting dominates the exterior, while the interior spaces showcase a harmonious blend of materials and geometric shapes that create unique spatial characteristics throughout. The bedroom features a carefully considered monochromatic wall treatment, complemented by geometric wooden storage solutions in the children's room. The dining area incorporates irregular rectangular metallic artwork, while sophisticated lighting design enhances the geometric motifs throughout the space. This project, which was completed in May 2015, earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its excellence in spatial design, material selection, and innovative approach to residential architecture. The design successfully addresses the modern need for a comfortable domestic environment that provides respite from professional demands while maintaining high aesthetic standards and functional efficiency.
