The Textures Of The Space Residence

The Textures Of The Space Residence

The Textures of the Space Residence is an innovative interior design project completed in 2016 in New Taipei City, Taiwan, that masterfully integrates black linear elements, natural wood textures, and strategic lighting to create a harmonious living environment spanning 330 square meters. The design, conceived by Chia-Hung Weng, employs a sophisticated interplay of materials and illumination to establish distinct spatial characteristics throughout the residence. At the entranceway, black straight lines create an appealing composed medium space that ingeniously connects to the main residential area through consistent color application. The living room features prominent black accent walls that maintain visual continuity while creating an engaging atmosphere. The dining area showcases a thoughtful combination of white surfaces and wooden elements, emphasizing vertical and horizontal relationships that evoke a sense of warmth and familiarity. The master bedroom demonstrates particular attention to spatial composition, utilizing wood lines and carefully selected pavements to direct focus toward the bed area, while the interplay of black and white elements creates a composed atmosphere. The project, which earned a Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, is distinguished by its innovative use of grey transitional spaces and varied brick textures that create an orchestrated flow between different areas, offering residents an experience akin to moving through a carefully composed symphony of space.
