The Spline House Space is an innovative residential interior design project located on the 24th floor of a downtown Taipei apartment building, exemplifying sophisticated spatial optimization through curvilinear design elements. This 90-square-meter space, completed in July 2014, demonstrates masterful integration of form and function through its distinctive use of polyline arcs that effectively reduce the visual impact of building mass despite height limitations. The design's primary architectural intervention involves the strategic retraction of partition walls between the living room and master bedroom, creating an expansive visual connection to the exterior views while maintaining functional distinctiveness. The space is characterized by its unified façade design, which seamlessly merges the living and dining areas through a continuous curvilinear mass that ingeniously incorporates storage solutions for both the living room and kitchen areas. The material palette combines wooden flooring with gray glossy paint and tiles, creating a refined aesthetic that complements the flowing spatial composition.
