The Revival Place Work Space

The Revival Place Work Space is an innovative architectural transformation project that reimagines a 50-year-old industrial factory into a contemporary studio space, drawing inspiration from the LOFT landscapes of New York's SOHO district. This 480-square-meter interior design masterpiece, created by designers Yan-Rui Chou and Ching-Ju Chen, exemplifies the aesthetic principles of post-industrial architectural revival while preserving historical elements. The space is distinguished by its sophisticated segmentation into four independent yet cohesive scenes, each serving distinct functions while maintaining visual harmony. The design's most striking features include large arched and rectangular French windows with iron grille details, which create a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor environments while flooding the space with natural light. The interior aesthetic is characterized by industrial-style wooden and cast-iron furniture, exposed mechanical systems, and textured walls featuring a combination of retro-style bricks and concrete finishing, all of which contribute to a nostalgic atmosphere reminiscent of classic Western urban environments. The project, completed in 2016 in Taipei City, Taiwan, earned recognition with a Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its exceptional approach to space utilization and material selection. The design's success lies in its ability to balance functional workplace requirements with café-inspired furnishings, creating an environment that evolves with time, seasons, and urban development while maintaining its core identity as a dynamic, multi-purpose workspace.
