Located in Himeji City, Japan, this 145-square-meter interior space was conceived to complement the practice of a distinguished robotic surgery specialist, incorporating design elements inspired by digital binary systems. The clinic's distinctive feature is its systematic use of protruding panels throughout the space, which serve both aesthetic and functional purposes. These white panels, featuring either black or backlit translucent surfaces on one side, create a dynamic interplay of light and shadow while functioning as practical elements such as benches, counters, bookshelves, and privacy screens. The design philosophy manifests through a pure white three-dimensional canvas that generates a clean, sterile atmosphere appropriate for medical practice while simultaneously expressing technological sophistication. The spatial organization follows a carefully considered patient flow, beginning with a reception area and main waiting room, transitioning to an inner waiting area where privacy panels shield patients, and connecting to treatment rooms via a functional backyard corridor for medical preparations.
