The Light Of White Reception Center
The Light of White Reception Center is an exemplary architectural and interior design project completed in 2015 in Taichung City, embodying modernist principles through its sophisticated use of white space and structural innovation. Located on a thousand-square-meter base in the central metropolitan area, this reception center distinguishes itself through its clean aesthetics, minimalist approach, and harmonious integration with surrounding greenery. The building's exterior features a distinctive large-scale curved wall complemented by a rectangular window, while the porch window extends to create band-type imagery with the elongated roof structure. The interior design, recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2017, demonstrates exceptional spatial planning through its innovative use of rectangular white structural walls instead of traditional beam columns. The 450-square-meter space incorporates French windows that facilitate natural daylight, creating a purified visual effect enhanced by coordinated flooring and ceiling treatments. The courtyard features artistic patchwork pavements and Myanmar Gardenia, establishing a balanced focal point within the expansive interior. Designer Wen-Ho Tseng's vision extends to a carefully curated long aisle adorned with artwork, sculptures, and contemporary lighting fixtures, while the public areas combine white paint, marble walls, and grey-black furnishings to achieve a modern aesthetic. The bedroom spaces utilize polyester and stretch cloth wall treatments to create an intimate, residential atmosphere, demonstrating the versatile functionality of the space.
