The Jiuxitang Model House Model House
The Jiuxitang Model House Model House is an exemplary residential interior design project located in Chengdu, China, that masterfully integrates traditional Chinese courtyard architecture with contemporary living requirements. Completed in 2018, this two-story residence represents a sophisticated interpretation of multigenerational living spaces, drawing inspiration from the region's rich cultural heritage and the ancient Kingdom of Paradise's aesthetic principles. The design, conceived by architect Yanming Yin and team, employs a thoughtful material palette including natural stone with landscape textures, champagne-golden stainless steel accents, dark grey wooden panels, and artistic glass elements to create a harmonious dialogue between traditional and modern design elements. The spatial organization follows a carefully considered layout, with the ground floor accommodating communal spaces including a reception dining hall, kitchen, elderly quarters, and utility areas, while the upper floor houses private chambers including master and children's bedrooms. The project's distinctive approach to integrating cultural elements is evident in its incorporation of traditional Chinese landscape painting motifs and natural creature symbols throughout the interior spaces, creating an atmosphere that balances splendor with humility. This innovative residential design, which won the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, successfully addresses contemporary lifestyle needs while maintaining strong connections to Chinese architectural heritage, demonstrating exceptional spatial planning that facilitates intergenerational living while preserving cultural authenticity.
