The Free Spirit Home Office Unit
The Free Spirit Home Office Unit is an innovative mobile workspace solution that exemplifies the evolution of contemporary home office furniture design, distinguished by its remarkable mobility and adaptable functionality. This sophisticated piece, designed by Anamaria Burazin Eskinja, represents a thoughtful response to the dynamic nature of modern home working environments, featuring a transformative design that seamlessly transitions between an active workstation and a discrete cabinet. The unit's primary innovation lies in its mobility-focused design, incorporating wheels and an ergonomic handle that enables effortless relocation throughout different rooms, adapting to varying domestic activities and spatial requirements. When deployed, the unit reveals a comprehensive workstation equipped with a spacious worktop, while in its closed configuration, it maintains a clean aesthetic by concealing all work materials and tools. The sophisticated storage system includes two lockable drawers, specialized compartments for A3 and A4 papers, laptop storage, and dedicated space for folders, complemented by integrated power sockets and USB charging capabilities. Constructed with premium materials including veneered panels and powder-coated steel frames, the unit measures 1040 x 560 x 1200mm when closed and expands to 1040 x 915 x 1200mm when opened. The design's technical sophistication is evident in its inclusion of a two-compartment power strip and dual USB charging stations, while its aesthetic versatility allows it to harmonize with various interior styles. This exceptional design earned recognition with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category, acknowledging its innovative approach to addressing contemporary home office needs through its combination of mobility, functionality, and aesthetic refinement.
