The Flowing Laminated White Space Residential House
The Flowing Laminated White Space Residential House is an innovative residential interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of Eastern cultural aesthetics with Western design principles. Created by designer Sheng-Hao Sun in Taipei, Taiwan, this 115-square-meter dwelling masterfully employs a sophisticated interplay of light, shadow, and architectural elements to create a serene living environment. The design's distinctive feature lies in its treatment of structural elements, where exposed beams seamlessly integrate with the laminated ceiling, establishing a refined sense of spatial layering through pristine white surfaces. The project, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, demonstrates exceptional spatial organization through its innovative stacking and floating concepts, effectively diminishing the visual weight of structural elements while enhancing spatial hierarchy. The interior incorporates premium materials including oak, marble, black iron, and leather, strategically combined to create visual depth and tactile richness. A notable design element is the sophisticated lighting system in the hallway, which creates a dynamic atmosphere through the interplay of light and shadow, welcoming residents home with an immersive sensory experience. The living space features a thoughtfully designed television wall combining gray-dyed wood and stone, while granite light boxes serve as illuminated focal points throughout the white space. The dining area is enhanced by carefully positioned wooden boxes that add vitality to the environment, and the bedroom incorporates a leather-clad wall that establishes a luxurious and comfortable sleeping sanctuary, complemented by light-controlling curtains that effectively isolate the space from external disturbances.
