The Endless Stay Architecture Design
The Endless Stay Architecture Design is an innovative architectural project that exemplifies the harmonious integration of modern design with natural surroundings, created by architects Tsung-Ju Lu and Wei-Chen Huang. This remarkable resort complex, situated in the depths of Mt. Lu, encompasses 4,777.5 square meters and accommodates 24 households with a capacity for 120 residents. The design's distinctive feature lies in its composition of stacked boxes that create both horizontal and vertical visual displacements, challenging conventional architectural perspectives. The structure employs a subtractive approach, incorporating irregular forms within regular geometric shapes, while maintaining a sophisticated balance between form and function. The design philosophy responds directly to its location near the Sandiequan waterfall, with the cascading architectural elements mimicking the natural flow of water down the mountainside. Environmental consciousness is evident in the material selection, utilizing local stones and materials for the main structure to minimize transportation-related environmental impact, while aluminum grilles serve both aesthetic and practical purposes, creating dynamic light patterns throughout the day while ensuring privacy. The project, which won the Silver A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building and Structure Design category, represents a thoughtful response to modern urban life's pressures by creating a retreat that encourages contemplation and relaxation through its innovative spatial arrangements and connection to nature. The varying heights of two to five floors in different units create a dynamic visual rhythm that complements the mountainous terrain, while the strategic positioning of each unit maximizes views and natural light penetration.
