The Daily Greek Packaging is an award-winning packaging design project that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of Greek cultural heritage with contemporary design aesthetics. Created by designers Antonia Skaraki and Valia Aloussi, this sophisticated packaging system draws inspiration from classical Greek antiquity, employing a distinctive color palette of blue and white shades reminiscent of the Greek flag, combined with geometric patterns and linear motifs that pay homage to ancient Greek architectural elements. The comprehensive packaging collection encompasses various sizes and formats, including pastry boxes measuring 202x202x75.5mm and 168x135x79.9mm, herbal tea boxes of 75x60.6x88.5mm, and specialized containers for Greek delights measuring 132x38x151mm. Manufactured using premium 280-gram Pantone color paper, the design successfully addresses the challenge of creating visually striking packaging that appeals to modern consumers while authentically conveying Greek cultural identity. The project, which was developed between June 2017 and December 2018, demonstrates exceptional attention to detail in its execution, featuring carefully crafted geometric patterns that create a striking visual statement while maintaining functional efficiency. The design's excellence was recognized with a Silver A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category, acknowledging its innovative approach to cultural representation through commercial packaging design.
