Temasehir Sales Center is an innovative interior architectural project that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of traditional philosophy and contemporary design principles, realized within an 820-square-meter space in Konya, Turkey. The design, conceived by architect Seda Dundar and team, draws profound inspiration from the philosophical teachings of Mevlana and the spiritual symbolism of Whirling Dervishes, translating these cultural elements into modern architectural language. The center features a thoughtfully orchestrated spatial arrangement, beginning with a profound entrance space housing an illuminated kiosk, symbolically representing the Sufi concept of emptiness and storytelling. The interior design scheme incorporates sophisticated material selections, including lacquered wooden panels, locally-sourced marble flooring, and metal-framed glass separators, while the color palette draws from the traditional garments of Whirling Dervishes, accented with golden elements symbolizing divine light. The layout progresses through an interconnected series of spaces, including a welcoming entrance, waiting areas with transparent seating representing inner-outer integrity, and individual sales boxes designed to create privileged customer experiences. The project, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design, successfully addresses contemporary functional requirements while maintaining deep cultural resonance, featuring innovative solutions such as motion-effect wallpapers and spiral-formed sales boxes that reference the geometric patterns of dervish gowns.
