Teawood Deluxe Food And Beverage
Teawood Deluxe Food and Beverage is an innovative interior design project that exemplifies the sophisticated fusion of culinary space and horological aesthetics, created by designer Vincent Chi-Wai Chiang. This 2,800-square-foot establishment, completed in 2019, represents a groundbreaking approach to restaurant design by incorporating watch mechanism-inspired elements into its architectural vocabulary. The centerpiece of this remarkable space is a monumental luminous clock installation on the ceiling, complemented by two massive cogwheels crafted from wood and metal, creating an immersive dining environment that transcends traditional restaurant design conventions. The interior architecture features an elevated lighting system designed to accommodate various occasions, while movable Roman numeral screens serve dual purposes as both decorative elements and functional backdrops. The design successfully addresses complex spatial challenges, such as integrating an air duct system within the thematic elements and transforming low-ceiling constraints in VIP areas into unique curved architectural features. The project, which earned a Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design, demonstrates exceptional innovation in its approach to spatial organization, incorporating sophisticated mechanisms that symbolize precision and craftsmanship while maintaining a delicate balance between sustainability and adaptability. The design philosophy emphasizes creating a mysterious and romantic atmosphere while ensuring practical functionality, effectively dividing VIP and general service areas without compromising the overall aesthetic coherence.
