Teaspoons
A teaspoon is a small utensil used for stirring, measuring, and serving small amounts of ingredients such as sugar, salt, or spices. It typically has a long, narrow handle and a small, shallow bowl-shaped head. The size of a teaspoon can vary depending on the region, but it is generally around 5 milliliters or 1/6 of a fluid ounce. Teaspoons have been used for centuries and were originally made of materials such as wood, bone, or horn. Today, they are typically made of stainless steel, silver, or plastic. They are commonly found in households and restaurants and are an essential tool in cooking and baking. In addition to its practical uses, the teaspoon has also been used as a symbol in literature and culture. For example, in the famous poem The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock by T.S. Eliot, the narrator measures out his life with coffee spoons. The teaspoon has also been used as a metaphor for small things or actions that can have a big impact.
