Teanocchio Tea Infuser
Teanocchio Tea infuser is an innovative and aesthetically pleasing tea preparation device that combines functional design with playful storytelling elements, created by designers Soroush Vahidian and Mohammad Afkhami. This distinctive kitchen implement, crafted from high-quality stainless steel with chrome plating, reimagines the traditional tea infuser by incorporating puppet-like characteristics that transform the tea preparation ritual into an engaging experience. The design features a spherical head with a specialized groove to prevent overflow, galvanized steel rope components that enable puppet-like movements, and silicon elements for the hat and bottom plug, measuring 60mm in width, 25mm in depth, and 63mm in height. The infuser's unique design draws inspiration from classic puppet theater, introducing an element of nostalgia and theatrical entertainment to the tea-brewing process, particularly beneficial for longer steeping times associated with green tea preparation. The innovative engineering addresses practical challenges through features such as a removable hat for easy cleaning and a carefully designed water flow system within the spherical head. This sophisticated blend of functionality and whimsical design earned the Teanocchio Tea infuser a Silver A' Design Award in the Bakeware, Tableware, Drinkware and Cookware Design category in 2017, recognizing its contribution to elevating everyday tea preparation into a more engaging and memorable experience.
