Tavarua Residencial Penthouse
Tavarua Residencial Penthouse is a sophisticated 600-square-meter duplex apartment located in São Paulo, Brazil, exemplifying contemporary luxury residential design through its minimalist aesthetic and thoughtful integration of noble materials. Designed by Brazilian architect Fernanda Marques and completed in 2017, this award-winning interior project showcases an exceptional balance between spaciousness and functionality, featuring a comprehensive retrofit operation that maximized spatial integration while capitalizing on the city's vibrant skyline views. The design's distinctive character emerges from its emphasis on natural illumination, achieved through the strategic implementation of reflective and transparent surfaces throughout both floors. The interior architecture pays homage to the residents' passion for surfing, incorporating personal elements such as a prestigious Hawaiian-crafted surfboard as a centerpiece in the staircase design. The material palette demonstrates sophisticated restraint, combining nude-colored marble and wood with abundant glass surfaces, creating an atmosphere that harmoniously bridges natural and refined elements. The project, which garnered a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space and Exhibition Design category, represents a masterful execution of modern residential design principles, where the interplay of light, space, and materials creates an environment that seamlessly blends luxury with livability. The penthouse's design philosophy prioritizes the amplification of natural light conditions, utilizing reflective and transparent surfaces to enhance the spatial experience while maintaining a minimalist aesthetic that emphasizes the quality and sensorial aspects of the carefully selected materials.
