Taoyuan Town Chinese Style Villa

Taoyuan Town Chinese Style Villa

Taoyuan Town Chinese Style Villa is an exemplary architectural masterpiece located in Hangzhou's Future Sci-Tech City, China, representing a sophisticated interpretation of traditional Chinese residential design principles adapted for contemporary living. This Silver A' Design Award-winning project, completed between 2019 and 2021, encompasses a thoughtfully planned development of 20 households across 5,200 square meters, with individual units averaging 666 square meters. The architectural design seamlessly integrates classical Chinese garden aesthetics with modern functionality, featuring extensive private gardens that harmoniously blend with the building structures. The villa complex showcases exceptional attention to traditional Chinese architectural elements, incorporating meticulously crafted details such as upturned roof corners, elaborate eaves, and classical corridors. Natural materials predominate throughout the construction, with solid wood utilized for traditional elements including columns, arches, purlins, and rafters, while the exterior walls are adorned with intricately carved dry-hanging stones that display distinctive Chinese-style textures. The design philosophy prioritizes the creation of meaningful connections between indoor and outdoor spaces, establishing a sophisticated public space system that transitions elegantly through gardens, streets, and courtyards. Notable features include optimized house layouts that maximize privacy through artfully designed fencing while maintaining an open, layered spatial arrangement characteristic of classical Chinese gardens. The project's architectural excellence is further demonstrated through its careful consideration of scale, proportion, and the harmonious integration of functional requirements with aesthetic principles, creating an environment that not only serves as a premium residential space but also as a cultural statement celebrating Chinese architectural heritage.
