TAETEA Tea Experience and Retail is an innovative interior design project that reimagines the traditional tea retail experience through contemporary spatial design, awarded the prestigious Golden A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category. This groundbreaking 300-square-meter commercial space, designed by Jie Liu in Kunming, China, represents a significant departure from conventional tea house aesthetics by deliberately avoiding typical Oriental design elements in favor of a more modern, minimalist approach. The design philosophy centers on returning to pure essence, utilizing a sophisticated red color scheme that effectively communicates the enterprise culture while maintaining clear functional boundaries throughout the space. The interior's distinctive feature is its masterful combination of rough wood and stainless steel elements, creating an artistic and fashionable business environment that challenges traditional tea-tasting conventions. A notable architectural element is the rotating staircase at the main entrance, surrounded by smart glass blades designed to evoke the organic form of a tea tree, providing visitors with a dynamic spatial experience.
