Synchro Sensors
Synchro sensors, also known as synchros, are devices used to measure the angular position of a rotating shaft. They are commonly used in aerospace, defense, and industrial applications where precise measurements of shaft position are required. Synchros work by using electromagnetic fields to transmit information about the position of the shaft to a receiver. The basic design of a synchro consists of a rotor, stator, and transformer. The rotor is attached to the rotating shaft and is designed to rotate with it. The stator is stationary and contains a set of windings that are arranged in a specific pattern. The transformer is located between the rotor and stator and is used to transfer information about the position of the rotor to the stator. When the rotor rotates, it creates an electromagnetic field that interacts with the windings on the stator. This interaction produces an electrical signal that is transmitted to the receiver. The receiver then uses this signal to determine the position of the shaft. Synchro sensors are highly accurate and reliable, making them ideal for use in applications where precise measurements are critical. They are also durable and can withstand harsh environments, making them suitable for use in aerospace and defense applications. In summary, synchro sensors are devices used to measure the angular position of a rotating shaft. They work by using electromagnetic fields to transmit information about the position of the shaft to a receiver. Synchros are highly accurate, reliable, and durable, making them ideal for use in aerospace, defense, and industrial applications.
