Sweet Q House Residential House
Sweet Q House Residential House is an innovative residential interior design project that exemplifies barrier-free living principles, specifically crafted for retired couples seeking comfort and functionality in their living space. Located in Taiwan, this 85-square-meter residence, designed by Yi Chun Chung, represents a thoughtful transformation of a traditional three-room layout into an open, flowing living environment. The design's distinguishing features include the strategic removal of fixed partition walls, replaced by versatile sliding doors that enable dynamic space management while maintaining privacy when needed. The interior architecture emphasizes natural illumination through expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, creating a harmonious connection with the outdoor greenery and optimizing daylight penetration. The sophisticated material palette incorporates laminate flooring, Italian paint, and terrazzo, while aesthetic elements such as an oval golden mirror and arrow-shaped bathroom tiles contribute to the space's refined ambiance. The living and dining areas have been meticulously integrated to facilitate multi-generational gatherings, with particular attention paid to creating sufficient play areas for grandchildren while maintaining adult comfort zones. This exemplary project, completed in 2020, earned recognition with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its outstanding contribution to residential interior design through its innovative approach to barrier-free living, thoughtful space optimization, and enhancement of intergenerational family interactions.
