She holds a BA from Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, China, majoring in Decorative Arts and Design in 2015, and has studied at RISD (Providence, RI) and Kunstuniversität Linz (Linz, Austria). Suyu currently lives and works in Rochester, NY following graduation from the MFA program at Rochester Institute of Technology. Her works are deeply inspired by her personal experiences of living in different places and her cultural background, and are highly acclaimed nationally and internationally. From creative use of alternative materials to exquisite fine metal practices, Suyu continues to offer unique outcomes and forms in her creations that captivate and amaze audiences.
