Surga Tropis Club House and Landscaping is an award-winning architectural and landscape design project that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of traditional Balinese architecture with contemporary design elements. Located in Pune, India, this 2,230-square-meter development features an 80-square-meter club house pavilion seamlessly integrated with meticulously planned tropical landscaping. The design philosophy centers on achieving balance between three fundamental elements of life: atma (human), angga (nature), and khaya (gods), reflecting deep-rooted Hindu-Balinese architectural principles. The project showcases distinctive characteristics of tropical Asian architecture, incorporating natural materials such as bamboo poles, teak wood, stone, and clay to create an authentic Balinese aesthetic. The open-pavilion design of the club house creates a welcoming atmosphere, while the surrounding landscaped gardens, featuring carefully selected tropical decorative plants that can thrive in the Indian climate, establish a seamless connection between built structure and nature. Traditional Balinese stone sculptures are strategically placed throughout the space, adding cultural authenticity and artistic depth to the design. The project's architectural framework adheres to four fundamental strength aspects: optimal ventilation, robust foundation, substantial construction, and protective walls, all working in concert to create a tranquil sanctuary that encourages reflection and connection with nature.
