Surfland Resort is an innovative architectural and landscape design project that seamlessly integrates surfing culture with luxury hospitality in a comprehensive recreational facility. Located in Garopaba, Santa Catarina, Brazil, this pioneering development encompasses 400,000 square meters of total area, including 233,000 square meters dedicated to environmental preservation, demonstrating a strong commitment to ecological sustainability. The resort's centerpiece is a state-of-the-art artificial wave pool spanning 25,000 square meters, capable of generating 900 waves per hour with heights up to 1.90 meters and offering 16-second rides along a 150-meter surfing distance. Designed by Andre Krebs, the project, which earned a Silver A' Design Award in the Landscape Planning and Garden Design category, features seven two-story buildings housing 270 apartments in a multi-property system. The architectural concept draws inspiration from water's fluidity and local natural elements, incorporating natural materials such as stone, wood, and concrete while preserving native vegetation. The facility boasts comprehensive amenities including a gastronomic village, sports facilities featuring one of Latin America's largest skate parks (2,000 square meters), tennis courts, soccer fields, bike paths, a spa center, kids club, open mall, and surf museum. The development's design philosophy emphasizes contemporary aesthetics while maintaining a strong focus on sustainability, carefully integrating built environments with natural surroundings and implementing responsible environmental practices throughout its conception and execution.
