SunWaves Uv Sterilizer

SunWaves Uv Sterilizer

SunWaves Uv Sterilizer is an innovative surface sterilization device designed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, specifically engineered to eliminate 99.9% of germs, molds, bacteria, and viruses from everyday items such as coffee cups and saucers within an 8-second cycle. This professional-grade sterilization system, which earned the Bronze A' Design Award in the Hospitality, Restaurant and Catering Products Design category, represents a significant advancement in hospitality hygiene technology. The device features a sophisticated construction of satin stainless steel and opaque plexiglass exterior, complemented by an internal mirror stainless steel drawer that creates an effective reflection chamber. Operating through UV-C light technology, the system incorporates an innovative double protection mechanism that safeguards users from direct UV exposure through mechanical rather than electrical means, ensuring both safety and longevity of the UV-C lamp. The compact unit, measuring 300mm in all dimensions, houses a 230mm x 230mm x 200mm sterilization chamber, making it suitable for both professional and domestic applications. Its user-friendly interface includes a timer with LED indicator signaling completion of the sterilization cycle, while its thoughtful design emphasizes environmental sustainability by reducing reliance on disposable products. The development of this device, which began in March 2020 and entered production by September of the same year, demonstrates Italian design excellence in addressing contemporary health challenges while maintaining practical functionality and aesthetic appeal.
