Sunrise And Perpetual Moon Interior Design
Sunrise and Perpetual Moon Interior Design is a sophisticated residential interior design project completed in 2015 in Taipei City, Taiwan, that masterfully blends traditional Oriental palace aesthetics with contemporary luxury living concepts. This 160-square-meter space, designed by Ching-Ya Chou and Chun-Fong Wu, draws profound inspiration from thousands of years of Oriental palace heritage, incorporating elements from calligraphic works, paintings, carvings, and cultural artifacts. The design's distinctive features include a meticulously crafted wooden grate partition with an underlying metal net at the hallway entrance, creating a unique interpretation of traditional Oriental window frames while expressing symmetry and repetition characteristic of Eastern aesthetics. A notable element is the implementation of a complete Chibi marble slab, strategically positioned to evoke the imagery of traditional Chinese splash-ink paintings, facilitating a serene transition between exterior and interior spaces. The design employs golden amber tones in the bar and kitchen areas, complemented by gold foil accents above the dining table, symbolizing ancient royal splendor while creating magnificent light effects throughout the space. This project, which earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, exemplifies a successful fusion of cultural heritage with modern luxury, demonstrating innovative space utilization and material selection that responds to contemporary trends while preserving traditional aesthetic values.
