Sunac Yipin Yantai Villa
Sunac Yipin Yantai Villa is an exemplary four-story residential space situated along China's Bohai coastline, distinguished by its harmonious integration of contemporary design with natural surroundings. Designed by Amy Shen, who studied at Milan Polytechnic University and brings a sophisticated fusion of Eastern and Western design sensibilities, this 350-square-meter villa represents a masterful balance between interior elegance and ecological consciousness. The design philosophy emphasizes the spiritual connection between mountains and sea, utilizing open spaces and natural elements to create a fluid dialogue between indoor and outdoor environments. The interior design scheme incorporates metaphysical elements inspired by the Umbrian school of painting, featuring carefully curated artworks that enhance the space's contemplative atmosphere. Notable design elements include the thoughtful integration of Marco Tirelli's paintings, which create a poetic intersection between fantasy and reality. The villa's architectural narrative successfully addresses the challenge of creating internal landscapes within structured spaces while maintaining an artistic sophistication that earned it a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2021. The project, completed between September and November 2020, exemplifies contemporary luxury living through its innovative approach to spatial organization, material selection, and the integration of modern art within residential architecture. The design methodology prioritizes the refinement of floor plans, precise 3D modeling, and meticulous attention to lighting conditions, resulting in a space that seamlessly combines functionality with aesthetic excellence.
