Sun Mori Residential Building

Sun Mori Residential Building is an innovative residential architectural project completed in March 2022 in the Jiufenzi area of Annan District, Tainan City, distinguished by its harmonious integration of elegant flowing lines and curved three-dimensional glass balconies that complement the surrounding wetlands. The structure, spanning 3,188 square meters, comprises six floors above ground and one below, accommodating 17 exclusive residences. Its distinctive design features include a large white wall with flowing lines, staggered small openings in the white solid structure, and a metal brick main wall that creates a compelling sense of solidity while maintaining rich facade layering. The building implements a comprehensive three-tiered green defense system, incorporating a balcony with drip irrigation for dust purification and oxygen generation, a green corridor encapsulating living spaces, and integration with the adjacent river park. Each standard floor houses only three residential units positioned at outward-facing corners, maximizing natural ventilation and lighting. The property is surrounded by 5,358 trees and 220,000 shrubs, boasting a 70 percent permeability rate and 60 percent green cover rate, exemplifying sustainable architectural practices. The spacious three-meter-deep balconies and the pure white curves of the main structural body create a sensual double-layered curve effect, while the building's advanced features include double-layer glass with nano-grade ceramic thermal insulation film, solar photovoltaic panels, and comprehensive hydropower systems. This architectural achievement, recognized with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building and Structure Design category, represents a thoughtful balance between aesthetic innovation and ecological consciousness, setting new standards for sustainable urban living.
