Sun Dial Residential

Sun Dial Residential

Sun Dial Residential is an innovative interior architectural design project that revolutionizes residential space planning through its unique interpretation of temporal and spatial relationships, drawing inspiration from the geometric principles of sundials. This sophisticated residential design, created by Tang Chung-Han, employs a distinctive approach to spatial organization where angles and masses are deliberately crafted to mirror the mathematical precision found in traditional sundials, creating an intricate interplay between light, space, and time. The design's fundamental philosophy centers on the concept of parallel spaces and their interchange, introducing a third perspective that transcends conventional residential architecture. The project's most notable feature is its revolutionary floor plan, which implements a sophisticated reorganization principle allowing different spatial concepts from various periods to coexist harmoniously. This approach not only accommodates the diverse needs of different age groups but also enhances interpersonal connections through thoughtfully planned shared spaces. The design's exceptional merit was recognized with a Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its outstanding contribution to residential interior architecture. The project, developed for Hongbai Construction Co., Ltd as a model house, demonstrates exceptional innovation in its approach to contemporary living spaces, successfully integrating functional requirements with aesthetic excellence while maintaining a strong focus on human interaction and spatial flexibility.
