Suining Zhongliang Datang No.1 Stacked Model House
Suining Zhongliang Datang No.1 Stacked Model House is an innovative architectural and interior design project located in Taizhou, China, that masterfully integrates natural elements with contemporary spatial design principles. Designed by Jason Shen and Yicha Zhao, this sophisticated project harmoniously blends the region's rich cultural heritage with modern architectural aesthetics, creating a unique dialogue between traditional and contemporary design languages. The project's distinctive feature lies in its innovative approach to space utilization, incorporating a black space concept where half of the available area is dedicated to living spaces while the other half embraces natural elements. The design showcases a remarkable entrance with reconstructed architectural elements and space orders, utilizing modern geometric principles to create an expansive horizontal spatial experience that connects seamlessly with the urban environment. A notable aspect of the design is its thoughtfully integrated recreational area, positioned at an oblique angle on a slope, providing an organic space for leisure activities. The project's location near the sea in Taizhou, historically known as Little Zou Lu and Thousand Years Taizhou Mansion, serves as a cultural anchor, influencing the design's emotional resonance and cultural identity. The design earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2022, acknowledging its excellence in spatial innovation, cultural integration, and design execution. The project exemplifies a sophisticated understanding of contemporary interior architecture while maintaining strong connections to its cultural and geographical context.
