Suigetsu Japanese Restaurant Japanese Restaurant is an innovative culinary and architectural fusion project that masterfully blends Chinese and Japanese cultural elements, located in Chongqing's Yuzhong District. This 370-square-meter establishment, completed in 2016 and recognized with a Golden A' Design Award in Interior Space Design, represents a groundbreaking approach to cultural synthesis in restaurant design. The space's architectural concept draws inspiration from Chongqing's unique geographical position at the confluence of the Yangtze and Jialing Rivers, incorporating this natural phenomenon into its interior layout through varying floor heights and flowing circulation patterns. The design employs sophisticated elements such as aluminum alloy ceiling structures with wood textures, inspired by traditional folded fans, and features simplified interpretations of traditional Chinese Sun Mou joinery techniques. The restaurant's facade incorporates modern acrylic light boxes, a contemporary interpretation of traditional festival lanterns found in both Chinese and Japanese cultures, creating a dynamic visual experience that transforms from day to night. The interior space planning adheres to Chinese Feng Shui principles while accommodating Japanese dining customs, featuring thoughtfully designed height variations that echo Chongqing's mountainous topography.
