Studio with Mirror Bridge Studio is an innovative architectural interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of functionality and artistic expression in contemporary workspace design. This groundbreaking renovation transforms a dark, linear ground-floor flat from the 1990s into a modern office environment through the implementation of a distinctive mirror-polished stainless steel vortex structure. The installation, spanning 8000mm in width, 3000mm in depth, and 2600mm in height, serves as both a sculptural centerpiece and a practical solution to multiple spatial challenges. The design's most notable feature is its twisted metallic bridge, which creates a mesmerizing time-tunnel experience while significantly improving natural illumination through multiple light reflections. The innovative structure connects the north and south sections of the space, incorporating a gradually shrinking vortex that culminates in a fishtail bar, effectively managing sight lines from the entrance to the workplace. Designed by Jinrui Liu, along with team members Guo Lan and Feng Qiong, the project demonstrates exceptional technical prowess in its parametric design approach and structural optimization. The installation's strategic arrangement activates the entire indoor space, seamlessly connecting the meeting room with the kitchen and courtyard areas. This remarkable transformation, completed between April and May 2018, earned the prestigious Platinum A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, recognizing its outstanding contribution to contemporary interior architecture and its innovative approach to spatial problem-solving.
