Stretched Among Peaks Interior Design
Stretched among Peaks Interior Design is an award-winning residential interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious integration of natural landscapes with contemporary living spaces. Created by designers Chia-Hung Yu, Hao-Chien Cheng, and Wei-Ting Chung, this 221-square-meter interior space masterfully incorporates large French windows to seamlessly blend the surrounding mountain forest scenery with the indoor environment. The design's distinctive features include sophisticated linear ceiling elements, carefully crafted special curves, and premium material selections such as peacock stone in the bar area and an elegantly designed television wall. The project, completed in November 2014 in Taipei, Taiwan, demonstrates exceptional attention to lighting dynamics, utilizing natural illumination through its four-sided window configuration to create an atmosphere conducive to both work and relaxation. The space planning prioritizes versatility and comfort, offering multiple areas suitable for reading, working, and leisure activities. This innovative approach to residential interior design earned recognition with a Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its excellence in spatial organization, material selection, and functional layout. The design successfully addresses contemporary living requirements while maintaining a strong connection to the natural environment, featuring optimized ventilation and natural light distribution throughout the space, effectively solving visibility concerns while creating an environment that promotes wellbeing and productivity.
