Stories Container Interior Design - Hotel
Stories Container Interior Design - Hotel is an innovative architectural and interior design project that reimagines the concept of hospitality spaces by drawing inspiration from shipping containers, creating a unique synthesis between industrial aesthetics and luxury accommodation. This Gold A' Design Award-winning project, completed in 2017, spans 500 square meters and features a distinctive exterior characterized by stacked container-like structures with strategically placed windows of varying sizes to optimize natural light penetration. The design philosophy centers on the parallel between containers as cargo carriers and hotels as temporary sanctuaries for travelers, manifesting in eight distinctly themed suites: Indulge, Evolve, WabiSabi, Shine Flower, Pantone, Fantasy, Journey, and Ballerina. The exterior employs reddish-black cultured stone on the first floor and artificial stone treatments that create a deliberate contrast with the interior's sophisticated design elements, including cloud-shaped chandeliers suspended from stainless steel-plated high ceilings. The project's innovative approach extends to its spatial organization, with the first and second floors dedicated to public spaces and a tea house, while the individual suites showcase diverse design personalities through careful material selection including wood finishings, metro brick, engineered stone, and glass. The design successfully overcomes the challenge of balancing openness with privacy through a full-open style in public areas and guestrooms, while maintaining distinct atmospheric qualities through sophisticated lighting design and material applications.
