Step Indoor Golf is an innovative interior design project that reimagines the traditional indoor golf facility concept, distinguished by its sophisticated integration of natural elements and contemporary design principles. The 363.6-square-meter space represents a significant departure from conventional indoor golf environments through its thoughtful combination of warm wood grains, fresh light colors, and strategic use of varying green tones, from dark turf surfaces to light green tiles and paint finishes. The design, created by He-Yun Lu, challenges stereotypical indoor golf aesthetics by incorporating a cafe-like atmosphere that promotes accessibility and inclusivity in the sport. The facility's layout features meticulously planned zones differentiated through diverse flooring materials, creating intuitive wayfinding while accommodating various user needs through open areas, private rooms, and VIP sections. The design successfully addresses complex spatial challenges, particularly regarding swing circumference requirements and player safety, while maintaining an inviting atmosphere enhanced by greenhouse-like elements and abundant plantings. This Iron A' Design Award-winning project showcases exceptional attention to technical specifications, incorporating materials such as titanium-plated metal, kiln-altered crossroad tiles, and specialized LED lighting systems to create a harmonious environment that balances functionality with aesthetic appeal. The facility serves dual purposes as both a premier indoor golf center and a sophisticated equipment display space, featuring innovative elements such as a dedicated wall of golf clubs in one of its booths, transforming the traditional practice space into an immersive retail experience.
