Statics

Statics is a branch of mathematics that deals with the analysis of forces and their effects on physical systems. In particular, it studies the effects of forces on equilibrium states, where a system remains in a state of balance, and the properties of objects and structures subjected to external forces. This branch of mathematics is used to model and analyze the stability of structures, such as buildings, bridges, and dams. It also applies to the study of forces between particles, such as those in the Earth's atmosphere or in fluids, or in the motion of objects in a gravitational field. The study of statics has been used in various applications to understand the behavior of structures and systems, including aircraft design and the design of machine components. Statics also involves the use of vectors and vector algebra, as well as scalar equations and calculus.
