Starhub TVB Awards TV Show
Starhub TVB Awards TV Show is a significant television awards ceremony and stage production event held at Singapore's Marina Bay Sands - Sand Theatre, featuring an innovative spatial design that seamlessly integrates local architectural influences with cutting-edge technology. The stage design, conceptualized and executed by designer Hui Chi Ho Howard and team, draws inspiration from Singapore's iconic Gardens by the Bay, particularly incorporating elements reminiscent of the distinctive Supertree Grove structures. The 230-square-meter production space employs sophisticated technical solutions, including multiple LED wall displays orchestrated through cyberhoist technology, enabling dynamic movement patterns that synchronize with video graphics throughout the performance. The design overcame significant technical challenges, particularly in the implementation of the Supertree-inspired structures, which required custom engineering solutions and the strategic installation of eight load-suspending devices from the venue's rooftop. This innovative approach to stage design, which won an Iron A' Design Award in the Event and Happening Design category, demonstrates exceptional spatial utilization and creative integration of local cultural elements. The production accommodates more than 30 performing artists and incorporates an interactive voting system that combines online public participation (70%) with professional jury evaluation to determine final results, creating an engaging and participatory entertainment experience that celebrates television excellence while showcasing architectural and technological innovation in stage design.
