Star Seafood Restaurant is an innovative architectural masterpiece located on the coral coast of Kish Island, conceived and designed by Iranian architects Saber Sajadi and Nima Bavardi. This biomorphic structure, completed in 2016, draws its distinctive form from the starfish commonly found along the Persian Gulf shoreline, embodying a harmonious blend of functional design and emotional resonance. The restaurant's architectural composition features a remarkable porous structure utilizing vacuum ABS material in a dual-layer configuration, effectively managing heat exchange while creating an ethereal illumination effect at night that mirrors the celestial display above. With an impressive height of 8.5 meters and an interior elevation of 6.30 meters, the facility encompasses a total gross area of 1,360 square meters, with 600 square meters dedicated to interior dining space. The design philosophy seamlessly integrates structural performance with aesthetic beauty, creating an immersive dining environment that captures the tranquility of the marine environment. The project, which earned the Silver A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building and Structure Design category in 2017, represents a significant advancement in contemporary restaurant architecture, particularly in its innovative approach to environmental integration and spatial design.
