Square And Round Residential Interior Design
Square and Round Residential Interior Design is an innovative residential interior design project that exemplifies Nordic design philosophy through its sophisticated integration of space, light, and functionality. Created by designers Yu-Chi Liu, Chih-Hao Tseng, and Kaijie Zhan, this 92-square-meter living space demonstrates a masterful approach to contemporary minimalist design, characterized by its all-white interior palette and transparent spatial patterns. The design's primary innovation lies in its revolutionary reorganization of traditional living spaces, connecting the dining room, bedroom, and study room to create a fluid, light-filled environment that optimizes natural illumination and air circulation. The project's material selection showcases a refined combination of stainless steel, steel brush veneer, system cabinets, baking varnish finishes, and grindstone floor tiles, all chosen not only for their aesthetic appeal but also for their durability, particularly considering the needs of the residents' pets. The design successfully addresses the challenge of bringing natural light into previously dim areas while creating a harmonious living environment suitable for both humans and pets. Through breaking down conventional walls and reorganizing spatial axes, the designers achieved more than 80% space optimization, establishing a seamless connection with exterior views while maintaining practical functionality. This exceptional work, which received the Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, represents a significant achievement in residential interior design, demonstrating how thoughtful space planning and material selection can create an environment that balances aesthetic refinement with practical living requirements.
