Splice Floor Lamp
Splice Floor Lamp is an innovative lighting fixture that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of natural aesthetics with functional design, created by Chinese designer Zhipeng Lee. This floor lamp represents a thoughtful approach to contemporary lighting solutions, featuring a distinctive structural design that employs a combination of 6mm thick environmentally-friendly Medium-Density Fiberboard (MDF) components and linen materials. Standing at 1400mm in height, with a shade height of 250mm and base height of 1090mm, the lamp's construction showcases an ingenious splicing mechanism inspired by childhood toys, incorporating six different types of MDF boards totaling 22 pieces that interlock through an innovative tenon structure. The design demonstrates exceptional attention to environmental consciousness, utilizing E0 standard MDF with formaldehyde emissions less than or equal to 0.5mg/L, while the integration of triangular support elements ensures structural stability. The lamp's distinguishing features include its easy assembly and disassembly capabilities, efficient packaging for transportation, and a unique structural system that promotes both functionality and aesthetic appeal. This design, which earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Lighting Products and Fixtures Design category, successfully addresses practical challenges while creating an inviting, nature-inspired ambiance in residential spaces. The lamp's thoughtful construction method and material selection reflect a contemporary approach to sustainable design, offering users an engaging assembly experience while maintaining professional-grade stability and illumination qualities.
