Splendid Forest Residential
Splendid Forest Residential is an award-winning interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious integration of nature-inspired elements within contemporary living spaces. Completed in July 2020 in Kaohsiung, this innovative residential design, conceived by Yi Xiang Lin, fundamentally reimagines traditional spatial configurations by dismantling conventional barriers and creating a seamless, open-plan environment that facilitates family interaction. The design's distinctive approach involves the strategic elimination of typical architectural elements such as TV wall partitions and solid spatial dividers, instead utilizing subtle ornamental elements to delineate functional zones. Natural materials, including wood flooring, stone grain textures, and metallic accents, form the core material palette, while sophisticated lighting fixtures featuring cloud and bird motifs contribute to the naturalistic aesthetic. The project's environmental consciousness is evident in its sustainable material choices, particularly the selection of restorable wooden flooring over conventional abrasion-resistant alternatives. The design incorporates advanced energy recovery ventilation systems, demonstrating a commitment to both environmental efficiency and occupant comfort. The living space is characterized by its innovative ceiling treatments featuring curved patterns and staggered silhouettes that evoke forest canopies, while the entrance area's inclined lattice work creates a transparent, tree-shadow effect.
